The May Arboretum Society Will Host a Hands-On Workshop Teaching at the Ranch House
Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Reno, Nevada – Facilitated by internationally recognized artist, Marilynn Clarke, Dyeing with Deadheads will teach how to extract color from the plants in the garden and then how to use them to dye fibers.
Nature provides a ready palette of bright and vibrant colors. Throughout history, plants and vegetables have been used to dye fabrics and we can still use these techniques today.
During this evening workshop, each participant will create a unique scarf using these dyeing techniques. All materials will be provided.
